2025 NPS District Teacher of the Year
Norman Public Schools announced on April 11, 2025, Dr. Bryan Frenette as the district’s 2025 Teacher of the Year. Frenette is the 10th-grade Biology/AP Biology teacher at Norman High School. Originally from Canada, he joined Norman Public Schools in 2019 at Norman High School where he dedicated himself to making biology an engaging and accessible subject for all students.
Frenette was selected through a competitive process, coordinated by the district’s Staff Development Committee. After being selected as the Teacher of the Year for Norman High School, he submitted a comprehensive portfolio, participated in various interviews and a video that showcased his teaching skills and philosophy. He was one of four finalists up for the award and was crowned during the district's annual Celebration of Excellence event.
