⭐️ Huge congratulations to Norman North's Kinley Kite on an incredible showing at the Nike Outdoor Nationals in Eugene, Oregon this past weekend! 🏆
Kinley represented Oklahoma and NPS at the highest level at the historic Hayward Field! In the 3200m, she placed 6th with a time of 10:49.65 -- breaking her own Norman North record and setting a new NPS district record! 🏃♀️🔥
What an amazing way to cap off a phenomenal high school cross country and track career! 💪 We're so proud of Kinley! She'll be taking her talents to Oklahoma Christian University next, and we can't wait to see what she achieves! 🚀

Congratulations to Kennedy teachers Amy Hardesty (Gifted Resource Coordinator) and Charlotte Freeman (Librarian) who were awarded Fund For Teachers grants. The two get to travel to Rome, Florence, and Milan to explore the connection between art and science found in Renaissance art, ancient architecture, and the scientific discoveries of Italy's great thinkers. Upon returning, they will integrate art into the curriculum and build a STEAM-centered classroom. Can't wait to hear what they share with the staff and students at Kennedy Elementary.

Starting next school year, all students at 10 schools in the NPS district can eat breakfast and lunch for free through the federal Community Eligibility Provision program. 🍎 Almost 5,000 students in NPS will be able to take advantage of the no-cost meals. 🎉
