NORMAN, OK (May 6, 2024) — Norman Public Schools (NPS) is proud to announce that Janine Warren has been named the School Business Official of the Year for 2024 by the Oklahoma Association of School Business Officials (OkASBO). This prestigious recognition highlights Warren's contributions to the district and her commitment to excellence in school business management.
Warren is an accounting coordinator for NPS and has worked for the district since 1991. She received the honor at last month’s OkASBO Spring Conference.
“Janine helps all employees across the district, whether it be the secretaries at schools or the administrators,” said Brenda O’Brian, Chief Financial Officer for NPS. “If they are applying for a grant, or planning a field trip, or wanting to know how to handle an insurance claim, Janine is the person they contact for answers. They all rely on her expertise and guidance. We are lucky to have Janine, and we’re thrilled that she’s been named the School Business Official of the Year.”
Warren's nomination highlighted several key areas in which she has made significant contributions to NPS: maximizing financial resources, improving public relations and commitment to the profession.
